The OrchidBee

The orchid bee is often considered one of the most beautiful bees in the world.

Unlike the fuzzy bees people usually imagine, orchid bees look like tiny flying jewels.
Their bodies shine in bright metallic colours such as green, blue and gold.

What makes the orchid bee truly unique is that it is closely connected to tropical flowers, especially orchids.
Some orchids even depend on these bees for pollination.

When I first saw a picture of an orchid bee, I honestly thought it was edited.

It looks unreal.

For me, the orchid bee represents creativity in nature — a reminder that beauty doesn’t always look soft and fluffy.
Sometimes, it looks bold, shiny and completely unexpected.
